SES - Other Services
SES provides other services such as:
- National Research and Development of Optimum Strategies
Through longitudinal studies and collaboration with other SSS programs nation wide, we are working to provide service strategies in these areas: English proficiency, personal and academic counseling, financial aid, career planning, graduate school advising, tutoring, and cultural enrichment activities.
- We also provide:
- Computer assisted instruction
- Language tables
- English/math assessments (Engl 101 and 102, Math 002, 101)
- Mentoring
- Test preparation workshops
- A computer lab
- Formal and informal discussion groups
- Tutoring experience/positions
Referrals to Campus and Community ResourcesEvery semester we work hard to help build networks among agencies
that can serve our participants. Among our most common referrals
are: Student Development Center, Office of Multicultural Affairs,
New student Orientation, CLAS Undergraduate Center, Career
Counseling and Planning Services, Services for Students with
Disabilities, and Counseling and Psychological Services.
